Why MFS

Most flooring companies are middlemen. We’re not.

We import our oak straight from PEFC-certified forests in France, warehouse it, deliver it and lay it ourselves. No importer’s markup. No supplier blaming the installer. One team holds the whole job, from the raw board to the last coat.

Imported direct

Genuine French oak, sourced from certified sustainable forests, with full chain of custody. You know exactly where your floor came from.

One team, start to finish

The people who quote your floor are the people who lay it. Nothing gets lost between a supplier and a subbie.

Specialists, not generalists

We do timber. Wide board, chevron, parquetry, custom stains. Twenty years deep in one craft, not spread across ten.

What we lay

Floors built around the timber, not the trend.

From a single room to a whole home, every floor is supplied and installed by the same specialist team.

Wide-board French & European oak

Custom raw oak boards, supplied and installed. Our specialty, and the floor most of our clients come to us for.

Floor sanding & polishing

Bringing tired or worn timber back to life, or finishing a new floor to the exact look you want.

Custom staining & finishes

Raw, natural, smoked or stained. We finish on site to match your home, not a sample card.

Chevron & parquetry

Patterned timber laid by hand, including the chevron and herringbone work most installers won’t take on.

Concrete grinding & polishing

Ground, polished and sealed concrete floors, including prep for new flooring.

Vinyl & hybrid flooring

Hard-wearing, water-resistant floors for spaces where timber isn’t the right fit.

FAQ

Good questions, straight answers.

Where do you work?

We supply and install across Greater Sydney, from our base in Mulgrave out to the Hills, the Hawkesbury, the Northern Beaches, the North Shore, the Eastern Suburbs, the Inner West and the Sutherland Shire. If you’re not sure we reach you, just ask.

Where does your oak come from?

Our French oak is imported directly from PEFC-certified sustainable forests in France. Because we import it ourselves, we can tell you exactly where it was grown and how it was sourced.

Can you restore my existing timber floors?

Yes. We sand, re-finish and re-stain existing timber and parquetry floors, not just lay new ones. If your current floor has good timber under a tired finish, restoring it is often the better option.

What’s the difference between raw oak and the pre-finished boards everyone else sells?

Raw oak is finished on site, so the colour and sheen are matched to your home rather than chosen off a shelf. It gives a deeper, more natural look and can be re-sanded for decades to come.

How long does a floor take?

It depends on the size of the space and the finish, but we’ll give you a clear timeline with your quote. Because we supply and install in-house, there’s no waiting on a third party.

Can I see samples before I commit?

Of course. Our Mulgrave showroom has 130m² of flooring on display so you can see and feel the timber in person before you decide. Bring your plans and we’ll talk through your options.

Your floor, properly done
